I am excited to introduce my Associate Officiant,
Reverend Sarah Lovgren. 

Sarah is certified to perform weddings in the state of New Jersey.

A little bit about Sarah:

Sarah has worked with me since 2012 serving as a witness to elopements. She began Officiating ceremonies for me in February 2015.  Her son has also worked for me helping set up my seaside ceremonies. I know that she is reliable, personable and will take great care in making sure she provides you with the ceremony you desire. Sarah enjoys officiating weddings and her joy shines through in her work. 

  I have known Sarah for over 16 years. We are neighbors; we both have 3 kids and have been members of the same church. Together we have attended our children’s sports games, school and community events. Our families have had the joy of attending The Point Pleasant Presbyterian family retreats together.

Like myself Sarah is a spiritual person and throughout her life has regularly belonged to and attended church. In the past she has served as a Deacon at Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church. She also served on various church committees, such as organizing the family retreats, Mom’s play groups and more.

What made me seek out Sarah and ask her to join For This Joyous Occasion the most, was that like myself, she believes in and respects all religious paths, and has studied many religions, faiths and traditions. She considers it an honor to work with couples of all faiths, traditions and life styles. Sarah is happy to Officiate Religious (Non-denominational and well as Christian), Non-religious, and interfaith ceremonies. She also Officiates Baby Blessings, House Blessings and Memorial Services.

Sarah has also been a longtime supporter of marriage equality and has not only served as witness to many same sex weddings, she has had the joy to officiate same sex weddings.

In addition to officiating weddings, Sarah is an instructional aide in the Fair Haven school district. Her dedication to her students is evident, helping them cultivate a love for learning and meeting their full potential. An active yogi and runner help to balance her personal life and help her bring a positive energy to all her ceremonies. ​

"From the moment we met Andrea and Sarah, we knew we found the right officiants to work with to marry us! They made us feel at ease from the beginning and that continued past our ceremony. We were able to build our ceremony and they were very accommodating with making changes and engaging in conversation. We asked for a call a week before our ceremony and not only were they willing, but they took their time and went over every detail. The day of the ceremony, Sarah arrived early, looking extremely professional and went around to us, our bridal parties, the DJ, photographer and the people at the venue. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect. There were two instances where planes flew overhead (we got married at a winery!) and she handled it with the utmost professionalism. She made us feel comfortable throughout and made the ceremony so special. We received numerous compliments on the ceremony from our guests. Afterwards, she left us a packet, which made it so easy for after the ceremony to have all of our information in one packet, including a beautiful certificate :) By the time we came back from our honeymoon, we had a personalized card from Sarah as well as our marriage license. We cannot say enough good things and highly recommend Andrea and Sarah. In fact, our brother/brother-in-law is working with Andrea for his ceremony in June.
